André Asmar joined the Ministry of Finance in 2001, where he is currently the Head of VAT Field Audit Department.

He holds a masters in Business Administration from the American University of Science and Technology in Beirut (AUST) and a bachelor in Business Administration from The Lebanese Canadian University.
