Steen Bruun-Nielsen is a lawyer and an independent legal consultant specialized in various aspects of international law and good governance.
His professional experience includes participation in numerous legislative projects in international legislative negotiations in the European Union (EU) and other fora as official in the Danish government. 
During recent many years, he has been involved in numerous international assignments concerning public procurement, concessions, public-private partnerships. A large number of assignments included review of national concession/public procurement legislation as well as assistance to reforms in these fields, including drafting as well as various capacity development.
