Ziad Younes is Chairman of BUTEC, a leading Lebanese and regional contracting company, founded in 1964.

He is a founding member of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Enterprise Forum for the Pan Arab Region.

He is a lecturer and has a number of publications in leading academic journals.

He graduated as an engineer from the Ecole Polytechnique in France and holds an M.S. in Technology and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a DEA in Industrial Organization from the University of Paris IX–Dauphine.
