The Institut des Finances Basil Fuleihan experts delivered a focused session on current procurement regulatory and operational frameworks, at the occasion of a workshop entitled “Understanding Contracts” organized by the Organization for Petroleum & Energy Sustainability (OPES) in partnership with Publish What You Pay (PWYP).
The workshop aimed at enhancing civil society organizations’ skills in advocating for good governance and transparency principles in policy-making.

It was an occasion to discuss with more than 20 representatives from CSOs the features and principles of the draft public procurement that is currently being discussed in Parliament, and how the new law provisions will be ensuring effective procurement procedures and government contracting for better competition in the procurement market and equal opportunities’ for economic operators.
