Biography

Jean-Christophe Donnelier is the Minister Counsellor for economic and financial affairs and Chief of Internal Audit at the French Treasury. He joined the Green Climate Fund as Representative from France at the board of GCF. 

Prior to that, he worked as Minister Counsellor for economic and financial affairs at the french Embassy in London. 
He occupied in multiple positions and worked with Thierry Breton, and later Christine Lagarde, Hervé Novelli and Anne-Marie Idrac, on international and bilateral issues such as French bilateral relations with emerging economies, multilateral trade negotiations. During his tenure, he created and operated the Interministerial committee in charge of supporting French firms abroad. He was also the French representative on the EU Committee in charge of trade policy in Brussels, which he chaired during the French presidency in 2008.
Three times positioned in the US as French Counsellor for economic affairs and Trade representative (Chicago, New York and later Washington), he has acquired good experience of the US economy and local business practices. 
Twice member of a French Minister Private Office; Hervé de Charette (1986) and later Thierry Breton (2005-2007), Jean-Christophe Donnnellier is highly knowledgeable and experienced in the French government’s decision process, in both economic and financial matters. This has allowed him to develop strong relationships with members of this field, and build an impressive network of contacts.
