Marcoluigi Corsi is the UNICEF Representative in Lebanon.

He leads and manages the implementation of the country programme, providing a strategic direction and oversight to UNICEF’s operations in support of children, women and young people.

Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Corsi occupied multiple positions within UNICEF. He served as UNICEF Representative in Myanmar, and was also appointed as the United Nations Resident Coordinator/Humanitarian Coordinator ad interim in Myanmar (2023). He also served as Deputy Regional Director for UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Region and was previously UNICEF Representative in Mozambique (2015-2020) and in Bolivia (2011-2015). Earlier in his career, Mr. Corsi held different positions in Indonesia (2005-2011), Eritrea (2002-2005), Somalia, Dar es Salaam and Tanzania. 

He holds a master’s degree in international political sciences from the La Sapienza University in Rome, Italy.
