As part of the Ministry of Finance's ongoing efforts to strengthen its informational capabilities and enhance the efficiency of its administrative and financial operations, the Institut des Finances Basil Fuleihan collaborated with the Direction Générale des Finances Publiques in France to establish an internal audit unit aligned with international standards. 

This initiative included a comprehensive four-phase technical support mission designed to assist the Revenue and Value Added Tax Departments in effectively planning and executing internal audits.
