Kawthar Dara is a freelancer with more than 22 years of work experience in diversified disciplines, particularly in public financial management, public expenditure analysis and policy, and in socio-economic development.
She led two successive World Bank -funded projects in the Lebanese Ministry of Finance to modernize and reform Public Financial Management (PFM) processes (EFMIS and FMR2), She also took active part in developing and discussing a new pension and social protection law, and in following up on the reforms in the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) in Lebanon. She held different posts in project management, coordination, capacity building, institutional assessment, reform implementation and research and worked for around 10 years as a senior researcher and supervised and participated in tens in researches, studies, covering a poverty, CPI, labor, education, health, planning, SME’s, gender, and others.
